Is Garlic a Poison?

The benefits of ingesting garlic (and onions) are surprisingly controversial.  You tend to hear quite a lot about the health benefits.  For example, health claims of garlic include treating infections, ear aches, high blood pressure, common colds, flu, heart problems, bacteria, superbugs, cancer, candida, and cholesterol.  However, below are some claims about the toxic nature of garlic from two individuals who are well-respected for their health advice.

Of course, there is more information out there — on both sides of the subject of garlic.
